Fund placement in Israel

Your strategy. A focused approach to Israeli institutional capital.

UYI Capital works with experienced international fund managers seeking to build or deepen relationships with Israeli institutional investors. We help identify relevant investment teams, sharpen the messages that matter to them and manage the dialogue throughout their investment review.

Our work includes supporting international fund managers in raising hundreds of millions of shekels annually from Israeli institutional investors.

Nissan Dar is personally involved in the process, bringing established working relationships with institutional investment teams and experience across funds, company finance, infrastructure and real assets.

We represent only one fund manager per strategy and geography. We do not take on competing GP mandates within that same strategy and geographic focus.

How the work takes shape

01

Build Israel into your fundraising strategy

An Israeli fundraising programme starts with fit: which institutions are relevant to your strategy, how your fund sits alongside their investment priorities and where a substantive conversation can begin.

We help you assess that fit and develop a focused approach to the market. Our work is geared towards experienced investment houses across infrastructure and energy, real estate, private credit and private equity.

02

Make the investment case clear

We help you highlight the aspects of your strategy and investment process that matter most to Israeli institutional investors. This includes translating the required materials into Hebrew and adapting their structure and presentation to the way Israeli investment analysts review information. The aim is to make your investment case clear, relevant and straightforward to assess.

03

Bring focus to investor engagement

We identify and prioritise prospective investors, coordinate introductions and meetings, and maintain contact with investment teams. Nissan’s involvement connects the initial conversation with the financial and commercial substance of the investment review.

04

Keep the dialogue moving

Institutional fundraising requires sustained follow-up. We help coordinate information requests, address outstanding questions with the manager and maintain visibility over the next steps in each discussion.

Our engagement with institutional teams continues after closing, supporting the ongoing relationship between the fund manager and its Israeli investors.

Questions people ask
What could Israel add to our fundraising programme?

1. Recurring long-term savings flows

Israel’s mandatory pension system channels regular employee and employer contributions into long-term savings. Alongside a growing population, this supports a recurring pool of institutional capital invested across domestic and international markets.

2. Substantial allocations to alternative investments

Israeli institutions invest across private equity, private credit, infrastructure and real estate. Their non-traded investment exposure has grown in monetary terms in recent years, although its share of total portfolios can fluctuate. This provides a relevant market for experienced alternative fund managers, with appetite varying by institution and strategy.

3. An additional source of capital and relationships

Israel can offer an additional source of institutional capital and investor relationships. We start by assessing the relevance of your strategy to prospective investors and how an Israel-focused process could fit your wider fundraising plans.

Who will lead the process?

Nissan Dar is directly involved in positioning, investor engagement and follow-up. The scope of the mandate is agreed with the manager at the outset.

How long should we allow?

Timing depends on investor fit, existing relationships, the fund’s readiness and each institution’s review and approval process. We discuss these factors at the outset and revisit next steps as conversations develop.
